The 2018 Gulf Air Bahrain Formula One Grand Prix (GP) extravaganza promises to be an even more fruitful event, said Shaikh Mohammed bin Essa Al Khalifa, Chairman of Tamkeen.
Substantiating his optimism, Shaikh Mohammed said, the back to back with China has meant that the teams and race fans are staying in Bahrain a while longer. The longer duration of stay has a cascading effect on the economy — a positive momentum. In effect, it is expected to have a larger impact in the positive direction, for Bahrain.

The circuit does a good job and we are happy that the teams recognize it. Turning to the issue of a Bahraini driver what with two positives — McLaren and the Bahrain International Circuit — the CEO added that the karting circuit is throwing up positive talent. A big positive here is that some of the talents from Bahrain could distinguish themselves in Europe. As of now, it does look that the trends point in a positive direction. “But I must say it takes time. Nothing happens overnight,” he concluded.
