for media and guests. F1 Drivers Fernando Alonso and Giancarlo Fisichella were special guests
to the event. Gearing up for the racing days to follow, Alonso is expecting ‘more from the team
potential to be extracted.’
The 458 Speciale features Ferrari’s core philosophy of extreme technological innovation and is a
completely unique model designed for owners looking for an even more focused sports car
offering extreme driving emotions. Technical innovation for this model spans the entire car, with
particular regard to active aerodynamics, the engine and vehicle dynamic advances.
The Ferrari 458 Speciale was crowned “Super Car of the Year” and “Car of the Year” from Top
Gear, one of the most authoritative motoring magazines in the world, that brings the total
number of awards Ferrari has had to thirteen in eleven years.

the new mid-rear-engined V8 berlinetta was designed to boost both performance and driving
emotion to unprecedented levels, yet simultaneously guarantee smooth, effortless control in all
kinds of situations. The 458 Speciale is the most powerful 458 to date at 596hp and 540Nm of
torque and an exceptional weight/power ratio of just 2.13 kg/cv. The 458 Speciale can sprint
from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 3.0” (0-200 km/h in 9.1”) and also clocked a lap time of just 1’23”5
at the Fiorano Circuit.
