Yas Marina Circuit’s women’s only fitness programme set to continue under support of prestigious academy
Reinforcing its commitment to the Abu Dhabi community, Yas Marina Circuit announces its partnership with the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy.
Under the partnership, the Academy will become patron of GoYAS, Yas Marina Circuit’s popular women’s only training nights. As well as ensuring the weekly event’s longevity, it also increases the event’s reach and relevancy amongst the UAE’s next generation of young women.
“The Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy is committed to increasing the role of UAE women in sport and athletics,” said Noura Al Kaabi, Board Member of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy.
“The Academy’s patronage of GoYAS further strengthens the event’s grass roots focus of encouraging women of all ages and abilities to get involved in sport and fitness and we are thrilled to offer our support. We must also thank HH Fatima Bint Hazza Al Nahyan for her continue support of empowering women through sports and hope we to see as many women and girls join us on October the 9th for our first event.”
“We are honoured to partner with the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy for GoYAS,” said Richard Cregan, CEO of Yas Marina Circuit. “Not only does it bring significant prestige to the Circuit, it builds on our role within the Abu Dhabi community, allowing us to engage and inspire new and important audiences.”
Since commencing earlier this year, GoYAS has gained a strong following, attracting nearly 4,000 women to the Circuit for running, cycling and fitness classes in a unique and supportive environment. The event, which takes place Wednesdays from 6-9pm at Yas Marina Circuit, marked the first time an F1 Circuit has opened its doors to a female only audience.
